Hi there, I'm Tom.

 

Having been immersed in drumming since childhood,

I am accomplished in a vast range of genres including rock, funk, soul, jazz, pop, latin etc. and have gained immersive experience with gigging, studio recording, teaching and touring.

 

With 20 years drumming experience, firsthand involvement in the music industry and a deep passion for teaching drums, I can't wait to meet you and to share this with you.

 

Being drummer for the band Caper Parade has led me on tour around Spain and throughout mainland Europe. We have appeared on festival stages in the UK, Norway, Italy and Spain as well as being recorded in world class studios. In conjunction with this I have been in many function bands, jazz big bands, corporate acts, jazz quartets, and London’s leading U.S style Drumline.

I have had the privilege of studying under many industry greats such as ‘UK Jazz Legend’ Pete Cater and session drummer Richard Brook (Take That, ABC, Go West) whilst at university. I have also studied under the likes of Steve White (Paul Weller), Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson), Ralph Salmins (Van Morrison), Ian Matthews (Kasabian), Ash Soan (Adele).

The combination of this education and my own playing experience has taught me what it means to be a professional drummer, but also how to attain the most enjoyment from music.
